Take an up close and personal look at some of the fascinating wildlife in Nova Scotia.
With 30 acres of our parks devoted to domestic wildlife, our amazing animals are a delight for all ages. From white-tailed deer to bald eagles to Sable Island horses, the variety of birds and mammals here attract more than 45,000 visitors each season.
All of our wildlife lives in natural settings of trees, pond, lakes and streams. Born in captivity or undergoing rehabilitation from injury, they cannot be returned to the wild.
The wildlife park is inspected regularly by Provincial Wildlife Authorities, and features a farm and a canteen. You can join our Adopt an Animal program or make a donation, if you wish.
You can tour the park comfortably in less than an hour and there is a connecting tunnel to the Theme Park.
Construction of the Upper Clements Wildlife Park began in 1973 by the Nova Scotia Department of Natural Resources and was opened to the public on July 6, 1976.
The Wildlife Park was previously managed by the Upper Clements Wildlife Park Society, a non-profit organization.
In 1997 the Wildlife Park Society amalgamated into the Hanse Society, which now manages all of Upper Clements Parks.
