| The Parks include some privately owned businesses, and many of the buildings are replicas of original Nova Scotia properties, including Golf Island, which is in the shape of Nova Scotia. Upper Clements Parks are operated by the non-profit Hanse Society.  In 2007, the Hanse Society purchased Upper Clements Park from the Province of Nova Scotia. In May of 2007, the Amusement Park and the Picnic Park were renamed Upper Clements Parks. The Hanse Society was created in 1997 by local communities and was mandated to manage Upper Clements Family Amusement Park on behalf of the Province of Nova Scotia.  The Parks' board of directors includes a blend of local tourism and business experts, along with representation from the Counties of Annapolis and Digby, the municipality of Clare, and the town of Annapolis Royal. Together these representatives create a wealth of knowledge to benefit the Parks. |

 Anyone who has visited Upper Clements Parks has surely admired the beautiful gardens. The generous support of our community gardening groups has made this possible. Each year some 50 local volunteers take time from their busy schedules to plant and tend to the flowerbeds.
